Dan Voiculescu (C), a media mogul and presumed communist secret police informant, enters a Romanian appeal court for his trial where he is accused for money laundering in a fraudulent privatisation case in Bucharest on August 5, 2014. Voiculescu, 67, and tweleve other people were accused of "carrying on fraudulent financial and commercial operations between 1991 and 2003" to allow one of his companies to buy a state-owned food research institute for 104,000 euros ($139,000), a far cry from its estimated value of around 7.7 million euros ($10.4 million).
