Grammy award winning American bass player, Christian McBride, rehearses with conductor Lalo Schifrin and the Sydney Symphony for "Jazz Meets the Symphony", at the Sydney Opera House, 16 February 2005. Jazz Meets the Symphony, being performed from 17-19 February, features works by Gershswin, Schifrin and Copland in a concert presentation inspired by Lalo Schifrin-s series of five albums, made between 1993 and 2001 of the same name, showcasing a fusion of classical and Jazz.
