ITALY-THREAT-RELIGION-TERRORISM-JEHOVA
An unidentified man is escorted away after he treathened believers inside a Jehova Witnesses hall during an assembly 26 February 2005. An armed man threatened to blow himself up in a hall in Rome today where around 2,000 members of the Jehovah-s Witnesses church were holding a meeting, Italian media said. The hall was evacuated while the man barricaded himself inside a room on the first floor of the building, according to Sky-s TG24 news channel. Rome Mayor Walter Veltroni was reported to be involved in negotiations to free the group of people inside the building. Sky TG24 later said the man had "freed his hostages" shortly after making his threat. AFP PHOTO/MARCO LONGARI
