CORRECTION-MIDEAST-ISRAEL-PALESTINIANS-OUTPOST
The caravans of the illegal Jewish outpost of Rehalim (right corner) are seen 09 March 2005 next to its mother West Bank Jewish settlement of Rehalim (left), near Nablus, with a Palestinian village in the background. Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, spiritual mentor of Israel-s ultra-Orthodox Shas party, attacked Prime Minister Ariel Sharon over his plan to end Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip, local media reported. Sharon plans to recall 8,000 Jewish settlers from Gaza and several hundred from four northern West Bank enclaves as of July 20. The international community considers all Jewish settlements in the occupied territories illegal. EDS NOTE: Correcting reference to Nablus to another Palestinian village. AFP PHOTO/YOAV LEMMER
