Member of the journalists defence panel Reporters sans Frontieres (RSF) holds a Paris street name board reading "street Win Tin, Myanmar journalist, jailed since 1989" and a box of newspapers during a protest at the Myanmar embassy 11 March 2005, in Paris. RSF called for the release of U Win Tin, one of Myanmar-s best-known journalists who will turn 75 as the country-s longest serving prisoner of conscience this weekend. U Win Tin, a key opposition figure, was arrested in July 1989 and sentenced 20 years hard labor. He turns 75 on Saturday, having spent more than one-fifth of his life in prison.
