US-PEOPLE-COCHRAN
(FILES) File photo dated 04 February 1999 shows Johnnie Cochran, the celebrity lawyer, introducing the legal team he lead to defend the interests of the family of Amadou Diallo, the African immigrant who was shot to death by New York City Police. Cochran, who shot to worldwide fame by leading the legal team that got US football star O.J Simpson acquitted in 1995 of murder, died 29 March, 2005 at the age of 67. Cochran died at his home in Los Angeles of an inoperable brain tumor that he has been suffering from for some time, the Los Angeles Times quoted his brother-in-law Bill Baker as saying. The lawyer-s wife and his two sisters were with him at the time of his death, the Times said. AFP PHOTO/Henny Ray Abrams
