BRAZIL-RIO-MASSACRE

Thirty people, including three children, were killed in what authorities called often violent Rio de Janeiro-s worst massacre when eight gunmen opened fire from two cars, police said Friday. The group of shooters, allegedly police oficers, first killed 15 people in the Nova Iguazu neighborhood at around 8:40 pm (2340 GMT) Thursday, followed by another 15 people an hour later in Queimados, said the Secretary of Security of Rio de Janeiro state Marcelo Itagiba.
