CUBA-CASTRO
Cuban President Fidel Castro holds a pressure cooker during one of his "special interventions" at the Convention Palace in Havana, 21 April 2005. During these interventions, which started last March, Castro deals with issues ranging from the announcement of the handling over of electrical appliances to the people, to others of high political interest as the denunciation of the Bay of Pigs veteran Luis Posada Carriles- request of asylum in the United States. Castro announced Thursday a minimum wage increase of 125 percent (USD 4 to USD 9).
