INDIA-VATICAN-POPE-SKETCH
Indian artist Ramzan Hussain puts the finishing touches to a pencil sketch of new Pope Benedict XVI at his studio in Calcutta, 22 April 2005. Ramzan has sold one of his sketches for Indian Rupees 250 (USD 5) and hopes to present one to the sisters of the Missionaries of Charity. The order founded by the late Mother Teresa in the eastern Indian city,has welcomed the election of Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger as the new pope, Benedict XVI, and hoped he would quickly canonize the late nun as a saint. Elsewhere in India, Catholics expressed joy at the election of Ratzinger as pope.About 24 million, or two percent of India-s one billion plus population, is Christian. AFP PHOTO/STR
