US-OVERSIZE COFFIN-02
Owner Keith Davis (L) and one of his three employees Grant Hollingsworth (R) works on a 29 inch (73.66 centimeter) oversized coffin made out of 20-gauge steel in front of the largest coffin lid the company has ever made -- 7 feet 3 inches -- special ordered for a 900 lb (408 kilogram) man in Alaska who would not fit into one of the smaller 52 inch models 09 May 2005 at the Goliath Casket Company in Lynn, Indiana. Advertized as serving the needs of the oversized casket community for nearing 20 Years, the Goliath Casket Company will make between 600 to 800 oversized coffins this year alone, ranging in size from 29 inches (73.66 centimeters), holding adults between 250-300 lbs (113-136 kilograms) to a 52 inch (132.08 centimeter) model that will hold 900-1100 lbs (408-498 kilograms), with special order models in any size.
