MIDEAST-ISRAEL-MEMORIAL DAY
Israelis stand near the graves of their loved ones at the mount Herzel military cemetery as they observe a minute of silence to mark the Memorial Day for fallen soldiers 11 May 2005 in Jerusalem. Remembrance Day is followed immediately by the 57th anniversary of the creation of Israel according to the Jewish calendar.
