CYCLING-GIRO-TOUR OF ITALY-BETTINI
Italian Paolo Bettini (C-Quick Step) in front manager of Team La Francaise des Jeux (R) reacts after the fourth stage of the 89nd Giro, the cycling Tour of Italy, between Giffoni Valle Piana and Frosinone 11 May 2005. Italian Luca Mazzanti (Ceremica Panaria) won the stage. Bettini began and finished the day as race leader but he was raging with anger after he was told there would be no podium place following his controversial sprint for the finish line which left Australian Baden Cooke hitting the barriers at top speed.
