Basque parliamentarians congratulate the new members of the Parliament Board (from L on the board), Carmelo Barrio, Miguel Buen, Izaskun Bilbao (new president), Rafael Larreina and Kontxi Bilbao, who have been elected 23 May 2005 in the northern Spanish Basque city of Vitoria. The new president Bilbao was elected after ten rounds of voting that started on 16 May 2005 after Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) decided to change their candidate Atutxa in order to unblock the stalemate between Atutxa and the Socialist candidate Miguel Buen of the last week.
