Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) parliamentarians Joseba Egibar (C) and Jose Antonio Rubalkaba (R) congratulate former president of the Basque Parliament Juan Maria Atutxa (L) following Atutxa-s substitution by Izaskun Bilbao, who has been elected 23 May 2005 in the northern Spanish Basque city of Vitoria. The new president Bilbao was elected after ten rounds of voting that started on 16 May 2005 after Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) decided to change their candidate Atutxa in order to unblock the stalemate between Atutxa and the Socialist candidate Miguel Buen, of the last week.
