BOLIVIA-ARMED FORCES-DEMOCRACY
The Minister of Defense Gonzalo Arredondo (R) and the Commander in Chief of the Bolivian Army Luis Aranda, answer questions during a press conference in La Paz, 25 May 2005. They announced the support of the Armed Forces to the Bolivia-a democracy, after a group of military officers on Wednesday demanded Bolivian President Carlos Mesa-s resignation and called for the nationalization of the country-s vast gas industry, one day after protests over the key sector left at least six injured.
