Undated photo obtained 02 June 2005 from the Royal Canadian Mint, shows a silver coin featuring the late pope John Paul II greeting people with one hand outstretched in blessing and the other holding his staff with a crucifix. The Royal Canadian Mint will issue its first coins commemorating a religious leader this month to celebrate the life of the late Pope John Paul II. An unlimited number of 99.99 percent pure silver coins will be offered at 49.95 dollars (40.04 US dollars) and be available starting 14 June. About 5,000 10-karat gold coins will also be available worldwide for 499 dollars (400 US dollars) as of 14 July. Both series have the Vatican-s blessing. The Royal Canadian Mint will issue its first coins commemorating a religious leader this month to celebrate the life of the late Pope John Paul II.
