OLY-IOC REPORT-DOCTOROFF
Dan Doctoroff, New York City Deputy Mayor and New York City Olympic bid committee NYC 2012 founder, responds positively to the International Olympic Committee-s 123-page report evaluating the bids of Paris, London, New York, Madrid and Moscow 06 June, 2005 during a press conference in New York. Doctoroff said, "We are absolutely delighted by the IOC s Evaluation Commission report today. The report makes clear that this race is neck and neck and that New York is firmly in the top tier. The IOC Report has made crystal clear that we re in a great position to win in Singapore on July 6, so long as the stadium is approved", referring to uncertainty over a proposed 2 billion USD Manhattan stadium. Paris received the best overall review, London, Madrid and New York received positive ratings and Moscow received criticism. The IOC votes 06 July to determine a site for the 2012 Olympics.
