SURFING-FRANCE-RIP CURL-AUS-GEORGESON
Chelsea Georgeson of Australia clinched the Rip Curl Venus Festival title at Hossegor, France, 07 June 2005. Georgeson narrowly beat Rochelle Ballard of Hawaii in a tightly contested final to claim her second WCT victory of the 2005 season and US$10,000 in prize money. Georgeson narrowed the gap between herself and ratings leader reigning ASP world champion Sofia Mulanovich of Peru. AFP PHOTO
