Filipinos gather for a mass at the historic Manila Cathedral to pay their last respects to Cardinal Jaime Sin, the influential and de facto leader of the Philippines- Roman Catholic who died on June 21 after a long battle with kidney problems and diabetes, 22 June 2005. SIn helped topple two corrupt presidencies and his death has been mourned even by the Vatican. The government has declared a national week of mourning until Sin-s remains are laid to rest.
