SPAIN-BASQUE-IBARRETXE-OATH
Moderate Basque nationalist leader Juan Jose Ibarretxe (C) passes under the Guernica oak tree 25 June 2005 after being sworn in as Basque Government president (Lehendakari) in the northern Spanish Basque town of Guernica. Ibarretxe took the oath in the Basque language Euskera with his hand lying on the first Bible in Euskera, published in London in 1859.
