Socialist Party-s candidate for the Galicia-s regional government Emilio Perez Tourino gestures during a press conference in Santiago de Compostela, northwestern Spain, 28 June 2005. The Galician Socialist party (PSG) and the Galego Nationalist (BNG) party are to form a coalition government, ousting the Popular Party (PP), which has ruled the north-west province for nearly 20 years. In a closely fought election, decided by votes sent in from broad by emigrants from Galicia, the coalition parties won 38 votes to the 37 of the PP.
