TO GO WITH STORY : "REPLICA OF FRANCE-S LASCAUX CAVE WILL TOUR THE WORLD"
Renaud Sanson, former set designer, poses in his workshop in front of a replica of the renowed prehistoric painting "LA VACHE NOIRE", 05 August 2005 in Montignac. Technicians are working on a hi-tech replica of the renowned prehistoric cave at Lascaux, in southwest France, complete with its celebrated frescoes of bison and other animals. The cave, where early man lived 15,000 years ago, was rediscovered by four teenagers in 1940, but has been closed since 1963 to prevent degradation of the art. The replica will fit into a container and tour the world. AFP PHOTO MICHEL GANGNE
