CHINA-UN-TRAFFICKING
Police guard a group of Chinese illegal immigrants caught trying to leave on a ship bound for Australia and New Zealand, at the Beihai port in southwestern China-s Guangxi region 30 August 2005, after paying a "snakehead" between two to twenty-five thousand yuan each (246 USD to 3,082 USD) depending on their age which ranges from the youngest one-year-old baby to a sixty eight-year-old man. Human trafficking is on the rise across the world with more than one million children forced into prostitution, begging or forced labour every year, according to the UN children-s agency UNICEF.
