(FILS) Picture taken 11 September 2004 in Havana of Cuban President Fidel Castro explaining on an electronic display of the map of Cuba the possible trajectories of Hurrican Ivan as it approaches the island. Castro offered 02 September 2005 to help his longtime nemesis to the north, the United States, by sending 1,100 doctors and medicines to treat the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Some 100 doctors could board a flight to Houston, Texas, as soon as Friday and 1,000 could arrive Saturday and Sunday, Castro said in a radio and television address.
