Traffic makes its way past an election poster for "Die Partei" (The Party), one of Germany´s many lesser known political factions taking part in the elections, in Berlin 16 September 2005. Die Partei, amongst other things, proposes to rebuild the wall that separated the former east and west Germanies. Poster reads: "bring back the wall, get rid of Merkel", alluding to the conservative opposition´s main candidate and the elections´ front-runner Angela Merkel.
