A firefighter walks past a raging fire at the oil well of Oil India Limited at Dikom, 520 km east of Guwahati, the capital city of India-s north-eastern state of Assam on 17 September 2005. Hundreds of firefighters are battling to control a raging oil well fire in northeastern India that was sending flames shooting into the sky and had forced the evacuation of thousands of people. Two US firefighting experts were at the site of the fire in Dikom seeking to cap the burst well and put out the fire. AFP PHOTO/STR
