SPAIN-US-ATTACKS-TRIAL
Fatima Hassan (L), the wife of Al-Jazeera journalist Tayssir Alluni arrives in court to await the verdict in Europe-s biggest Al-Qaeda trial, 26 September 2005 in Madrid. 24 men are accused of links to the terror network and three of involvement in preparing the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. The Spanish high court sentenced Imad Eddin Barakat Yarkas, alias Abu Dahdah, to 27 years in jail for conspiring in the organisation of the September 11 attacks. The court also found television reporter Tayssir Alluni guilty of collaboration with Al-Qaeda, sentencing the Syrian-born but naturalised Spaniard to seven years in jail.
