SPAIN-US-ATTACKS-TRIAL
Spanish Guardia Civil stand guard as the van carrying the accused leaves the court in Madrid following their sentencing, 26 September 2005 in Europe-s biggest Al-Qaeda trial. The Syrian head of a Spanish-based Al-Qaeda cell, Imad Eddin Barakat Yarkas was sentenced to 27 years in jail for conspiring in the organisation of the September 11 attacks.
