FRANCE-CORSICA-MARITIME-BLAST
Officials look at damages 30 September 2005 following a rocket attack the evening before on the prefecture building in Ajaccio, Corsica. The rocket exploded just metres from Corsican Prefect Pierre-Rene Lemas, the highest French government official on the island, who swiftly made the link between the attack and the labour dispute about the privatisation of the ferry company SNCM, linking Corsica to the French mainland.
