US-WEATHER-KATRINA
Sonseeahray Bridges (L) a pediatrician at New Orleans Children-s Hospital and her husband Ezell Bridges (Front C), a mechanic, are driven by volunteers to their new temporary home at a trailer park for people made homeless by Hurricane Katrina, 07 October 2005 in Baker, Louisiana. The Bridges home in New Orleans East was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The Bridges decided to move into the FEMA trailer park so their three children could continue going to school in Baker. A smaller-than-expected 35,000 jobs were lost overall in the United States last month as hiring in some regions was offset by layoffs stemming from the damage caused by Hurricane Katrina, according to a Labor Department report on Friday.
