HEALTH-FLU-EU-TURKEY-ROMANIA-PANDEMIC
This undated picture shows an employee of Roche in the Basel plant, Switzerland, preparing pills of the anti-viral drug Tamiflu. EU governments were urged 13 October 2005 to stockpile anti-viral drugs and Europeans advised to get their flu jabs up to date, but officials dismissed suggestions of "panic" over a feared bird flu pandemic. The European Commission issued the advice after confirming that an outbreak of avian influenza in Turkey involved the lethal strain of the virus known as H5N1, which has killed over 60 people in Asia.
