ITALY-MUSIC-SAKAMOTO-NICOLAI
Award-winning Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto (L) confers with German sound artist Carsten Nicolai (alias Alva Noto) during the rehearsal of his mixed-media concert "Insen" at Rome Auditorium 22 October 2005. The show, a live collaboration between Nicolai and Sakamoto, combines acoustic piano with electronic music. Digital processing and an on-stage video installation by Nicolai complement Sakamoto-s elegant piano phrasing in dialogues of melody, rhythm and texture. AFP PHOTO\ Tiziana FABI
