PAKISTAN-QUAKE-SUPPLIES
The crane aboard the dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52) brings a load of relief supplies from the boat deck of the ship onto the pier in Karachi, Pakistan 24 October, 2005. Pearl Harbor carried 140 tons of relief supplies to Karachi in support of Pakistan-s relief effort in the northern part of that country. The United States is participating in a multinational assistance and support effort led by the Pakistani Government to bring aid to the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Pakistan 08 October, 2005.
