PAKISTAN-QUAKE-US AID
This US Navy handout photo shows US Navy Sailors assigned to the dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), as they help guide a load of relief supplies craned down from the boat deck of the ship onto the pier 24 October 2005 in Karachi, Pakistan. Pearl Harbor carried 140 tons of relief supplies to Karachi in support of Pakistan-s relief effort in the northern part of that country. The United States is participating in a multinational assistance and support effort led by the Pakistani Government to bring aid to the victims of the devastating earthquake that struck Pakistan on 08 October, 2005.
