PHILIPPINES-GREENPEACE-CLIMATE-GLOBAL WARMING
A crew member from the Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior inspects coral at the world famous Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site in the southern Philippines, 30 October 2005, one of the most diverse habitats in the marine tropics. Greenpeace warned that global warming can spell catastrophe for tropical marine ecosystems, and consequently to the toursim industry which is a million US dollar industry in the Philippines. The Rainbow Warrior has embaked on an "Asia Energy Revolution" tour of Australia, China, the Philippines and Thailand to highlight the urgency of global warming and promote a massive shift to clean renewable energy.
