BRITAIN-POLITICS-BLUNKETT-DNA

(FILES) David Blunkett, work and pensions secretary, leaves the Houses of Parliament after the first meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party with Prime Minster Tony Blair 11 May 2005. British minister David Blunkett was under fire on 30 October 2005 over his DNA testing firm directorship, with critics claiming he broke the ministerial rules and should again resign. The blind Work and Pensions Secretary briefly became a director of DNA Bioscience for two weeks before the May general election. He left the post when Prime Minister Tony Blair re-appointed him to the cabinet. AFP PHOTO ADRIAN DENNIS
