STORY MATCHER: INDIA-SCIENCE-FOSSIL-OFFBEAT Indian scientists have discovered a 65 million year old fossil showing two cells of Myxomycetes fungi in a sexual union, in Lucknow, 10 November 2005. It is the first time two organisms involved in a sexual act were found in fossilized form. The rare find was discovered in a dry well, 10 meters deep, in central India. AFP/STR
