SPACE-SUNSPOT
This 15 November, 2005 NASA Solar and Heliospheric Administration(SOHO) image shows sunspot 822 on the Sun. Sunspot 822 poses a threat for M-class solar flares that can cause brief radio blackouts that affect Earth-s polar regions. Minor radiation storms sometimes follow an M-class flare.
