The sentencing hearing for Zacarias Moussaoui, who could face the death penalty after admitting being a September 11 plotter, has been postponed a month, court authorities said 15 November, 2005. Jury selection will begin 06 February, 2006, instead of 09 January, according to a court document filed by Judge Leonie Brinkema of the US District Court in Alexandria, Virginia. Assuming the final juror pool has been selected by 03 March 3, the trial in a federal court in the Washington suburb will begin 06 March. Moussaoui, 37, a French national, pleaded guilty in April to six conspiracy charges, four of which could bring the death penalty. He has confessed loyalty to Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
