JAPAN-SPACE-ASTEROID
This rendering picture released by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) shows Japan-s space probe Hayabusa which collects surface samples of the asteroid Itokawa. The unmanned probe fired a small metal ball at the surface of the asteroid to stir up material for collection and the operation was carried out "without failure", Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency said 26 November 2005.
