SPAIN-EUROMED-PROTEST
Demonstrators protest on the sidelines of the Euromed summit in Barcelona, 27 November 2005. The demonstration brought together various organisations from anti-globalisation protestors to those in favour of an independent Palestinian state. A first-ever Euro-Mediterranean summit opened Sunday in Barcelona focused on terrorism and immigration, but the absence of most Muslim leaders undermined a bid to revitalize a 10-year-old partnership.
