SURFING-US-O-NEILL CONTEST
Current ASP World Championship Tour (WCT) number 21 Richie Lovett from Australia rides a wave during the O-Neill World Cup at Sunset Beach in Hawaii, 05 December 2005. Lovett was beaten by fellow Australians Jay Thompson and Jarred Howse in the round of 32 surfers. Lovett struggled to find his rhythm in the disgruntled five meter swell but will have one last opportunity to prove himself in Hawaii when the Ripcurl Pipeline Masters kicks off on December 08. The O Neill World Cup, a six star World Qualifying Series (WQS) event, is the final WQS event of the 2005 season with US$125 000 in prize money and the second jewel in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
