CORRETION-PERU-POLICE-AMBUSH-DEAD
Peruvian Police airmen carry in the police airport in Lima 21 December, 2005 the coffins of three out of eight police officers killed in an ambush by Shining Path left-wing guerrillas Tuesday. Eight policemen were killed and one injured in the ambush in the central Peruvian jungle, a region known for raising coca, the source plant for cocaine. Former interior minister Fernando Rospigliosi said that the Shining Path guerrillas in the area have become hired gunmen working for drug lords active in the region. AFP PHOTO/JAIME RAZURI
