SRI LANKA-SASIA-QUAKE-TSUNAMI-SHELTER
Sri Lankan tsunami suvivor M. Magarat, 52, gives the final touches to the floor of her temporary shelter in Boossa, outside Galle, southern Sri Lanka, 25 December 2005, on the eve of the first anniversary of the December 2004 tsunami. Tsunami waves triggered by an undersea earthquake off the nothern Indonesian island of Sumatra claimed at least 227,000 lives and affected more then 2.2 million people in the countries bordering the Indian ocean, according to the Red Cross.
