SPAIN-ARCHIVES-CATALONIA-CIVIL-WAR
Workers for the Ministry of Culture carry boxes of archival material that were stored at the National archives of the civil war in Salamanca to be transported back to the Civil war archive in Barcelona, 19 January 2006. The material relating to the civi war was taken by General Franco in 1940, after winning the civil war and against the objections of the region. Parliament agreed last year that the archives should be returned to their natural home.
