Israeli riot policemen take cover under a shield as they try to climb to a roof where settlers barricaded themselves during clashes between settlers security forces in the West Bank outpost settlement of Amona, 01 February 2006. Hundreds of Jewish hardliners were dragged kicking and screaming out of houses in the occupied West Bank as Israeli security forces stormed the unauthorised settlement. Rocks and paint were hurled at the massed ranks of the border police as they moved in to clear out hundreds of settlers who had barricaded themselves inside and on the roofs of nine houses in the settlement outpost.
