Taiwanese illustrator Jimmy Liao speaks during a book signing event in Taipei, 07 January, 2006. With his colorful, romantic and lyric style, Jimmy, who goes by his first name, authored over 20 illustrated storybooks that topped the selling charts here and were adopted into musicals, animated and feature films. About a third of his books were translated into Japanese and some into English, French, German, Korean etc. and also the simplified Chinese used in mainland China where he is well known.
