SPAIN-POLITICS-ZAPATERO
Spanish Prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero ponders a question during his news conference at Moncloa-s Palace in Madrid, 10 February 2006. Zapatero blasted what he termed the "intolerable counter-truths" of the main conservative opposition Popular Party (PP) and called on the party to "regain a sense of responsability" after the PP suggested that some pending ETA prisoner releases were a sop designed to win peace in the Basque region.
