Italian actor and director Roberto Benigni and his wive, Italian actress Nicoletta Braschi arrive on the red carpet for the awarding ceremony of the 56th Berlinale Film Festival 18 February 2006 in Berlin. The 56th Berlinale, which ranks with Cannes and Venice among the top three European festivals, was dominated by political themes including the US-led war on terror, corruption in the global oil industry and rape as a war crime.
