LEBANON-PARLIAMENT-DIALOGUE
Political leaders of Lebanon (L to R) Saad Hariri, PM Fuad Siniora, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, and Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah attend a roundtable national dialogue at the parliament building in downtown Beirut 02 March 2006. This is the first meeting of Lebanese parties without Syrian sponsorship since the 1975-1990 civil war and comes 10 months after Damascus withdrew its troops from the country. The meeting will touch on three sensitive topics: the Shiite party Hezbollah-s continued right to bear arms, opposition demands for Lahoud-s resignation and Beirut-s strained ties with Damascus.
